Love yourself as you are

Dear diary,

It's very hard to be original now days. No matter what you do, theres always someone out there who will want the same as you. People say it's a form of flattery, its not. All it is for me is something to help me achieve more in life. It just makes me strive to be better than those people. It's also very hard to feel good about yourself now days. Especially at this age. It's sometimes hard to not sit there and think, "why don't i look like her". The truth is, everyone's different and some people find it harder than others to accept this. Everyones always under constant pressure to look good, nothing else seems to be OK. I've learnt, very recently, that these peoples opinions are the ones that don't matter. Life's not about being perfect, life's about living. Living as yourself, nobody else. If you want to do something, do it, don't worry about what people think. Girls need to stop worrying about what boys think about them. I'm not going to put all the blame on the guys for the lack of confidence in our own skin, but let's face it, its mostly there fault. I don't think they do it purposely, just sometimes they forget to think before they speak. They'll grow out of it though. They'll eventually grow up and realise how silly they were when they were younger. The only people's opinions that matter to me now are the people that i know truly care and look out for me. The others don't even come into the equation. So thanks, but no thanks! xoxo
